Mr. Sippel represents primarily employers and insurers in a variety of matters, including employment law matters, workers' compensation claims, auto, products and premises liability claims.
Representative Client Work
Represents a broad range of employers in various types of litigation.
Representative verdicts include defense verdicts in section 1983 action brought against school district (Neal et al. v. Fulton County Board of Education, 1:98-CV-01474 (N.D.Ga. 2004).
Successfully defended employer in workers' compensation suit alleging carpal tunnel syndrome (Smith v. BI-LO, Maury County Tennesse case #11076, 2006), and successfully defended hospital janitorial service against osteoarthritis claim in Corn v. HHS, M2004-02319-SC (Tennessee Supreme Court 2006).
Representative plaintiff's verdicts include civil actions for death claims in Jackson v. Georgia Gulf Sulfur Co, Georgia SBWC #255-0-7657 (1995), Hensley v. Evergreen Express Lines, Inc., Case 84960-1 (Whitfield County Superior Court 2008).
Obtained summary judgment for numerous clients in premises liability and slip and fall cases.
Represents employers in Title VII, retaliatory discharge/wrongful termination, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA cases in state and federal courts.
Represented trucking company in successful resolution of multi-million dollar damages claim resulting from vehicle collision.
Provides guidance and coverage opinions to carriers, including excess and surplus lines providers.
Represented insurance company in multi-state subrogation of workers compensation and third party claims, successfully recovering significant damages from at-fault parties.
Represents creditors in bankruptcy litigation, and has succesfully protected creditors against preference claims and other adversary proceedings.
Provide seminars and training to insurance adjusters and professionals of various types.
